Master of Camouflage, The Red Admiral Butterfly , Lake Seminole Park, FL

When ever I see a butterfly, I have to follow it and take pictures. The erratic way they flutter about, their beauty, variety of shapes and colors. The perfect subject for photography.

The Red Admiral butterfly is found everywhere in the world. The only place they do not do well is were the winters are especially cold. I find them fascinating because one side is these beautiful colors, the other perfectly matches the pine trees. Follow one and they disappear like Houdini.

The top Photograph is of the Red Admiral Butterfly perfectly camouflaged on a pine at Lake Seminole park. The bottom photograph is just seconds before he decided to hide from lens…
